MANIFEST BOTTLE SCHOOL

7-DAY & 6-NIGHT MANIFEST BOTTLE SCHOOL – June 24 – June 30, 2013

Price £995 Approx

MANIFEST BOTTLE SCHOOL For years Guatemala has been a contrast of natural beauty and socioeconomic disparity. Its diverse population has a long history and rich culture, but poverty is prevalent in all regions of the country. Since 2010, the Manifest Foundation has aligned with Hug It Forward to make a difference in Guatemala and improve the quality of life for children and families in need. By working with communities to build schools out of discarded plastic bottles, an endeavor that costs just $12,000 per two-classroom school, the Manifest Foundation and its incredible volunteers have helped to create environments for children to receive an education. This is your opportunity to take a Voluntour and help build a Bottle School for children in San Martin Jilotepque, located in the department of Chimaltenango, Guatemala. You’ll meet new friends, get to know the community, visit Mayan ruins and experience Guatemalan culture firsthand. Take a trip to make a difference. You’ll cherish every minute.

Included:

Give and enjoy in Nicaragua

Where is NICARAGUA

Where is NICARAGUA

NICARAGUA, 3 March – 11 March.

9-day and 8-night stay
Approximately £450.00

The act of giving is part and parcel to our nature. Want proof? Take a full-immersion Manifest Foundation “Voluntour” to La Paz and La Primavera, Nicaragua. On this 9-day, 8-night service trip you’ll stay with a host family, interact, eat, dance, laugh, contribute your time and energy to improve their circumstances and fully experience what life is like in each region.

What’s more, you’ll support projects by Women in Action (WIA), a local group dedicated to teaching others how to implement and create projects to help fund education and housing. Education is just one of the disparities in Nicaragua. A majority of children do not attend school because of the cost—school is not free, and books and uniforms are an added expense. La Paz and La Primavera are also marked by poverty and pollution. WIA efforts help eliminate standing water in the streets and provide micro-lending and sponsorships to others seeking to improve their conditions. As a volunteer, you’ll also support Compas de Nicaragua (Friends of Nicaragua), by helping create new biogas cooking units to counter deforestation.

Volcanoes in Nicaragua

Volcanoes in Nicaragua

This trip may not only change your perspective, but your purpose. You’ll bear witness to a culture rich in tradition, strength and hope. When the pattern of your experience is woven with the lives of others, you’ll discover something remarkable: despite nationality or upbringing, economic differences or environment, we are all cut from the same cloth. Which just goes to show, the more we give to others, the more we understand ourselves.

If helping others and getting more back sounds like you kind of holiday, get in touch and book this limited time deal quickly. www.ayoung.worldventures.biz
Additional Information

Must be 18 years of age.
Not recommended for people with a handicap or health issues.

Minimum number of participants is 6. If that minimum is not booked, this trip may be cancelled. You will be notified 30 days before departure if the minimum is not reached.
**Voluntour members are required to purchase travel and medical insurance from the vendor of their choice. Proof of insurance must be received two weeks before travel.
